Saturday
Since I was working, hubby sent me off to work, on his way to Leng Kee workshop. He wanted to be the 1st person there when the workshop opens. To hubby greatest disappointment, the mechanic said that the specialist was not on duty on that day & can only have the windscreen changed on Monday. Furthermore, the stock will only arrive after 2pm. So he suggested hubby to do all the paperwork 1st. But again, Allah helped us again-another mechanic approached hubby to say that there was a last piece available for our car model & it can be done on the same day. It was the greatest news of the month! Black Stallion was left for repairing work. Hubby made his way to the nearest MRT station heading to Mamat's open house. As he was about to leave, a shuttle service provided by the workshop came by, saving hubby from the rain. It sends their customers to the nearest MRT station. Gosh! Count our lucky stars...
At 5pm, hubby fetched me from work. It was still raining. We were reluctant to make a move. Nowadays, we are skeptical over heavy rain after what happened to Din's. But we went on. I didn't stop praying.
Dipendekkan cerita, my sis in law called saying they are coming to my house together with my parents in law & hubby's aunty- that gave me the slimmest time frame to clean the super berserak house & also preparing food. Aimar pulak tumpahkan shampoo on the carpet. Makin di-lap makin berbuih. Tak sabar, I dragged it to the toilet & scrubbed it for the longest time. When they came, rumahku tak bercarpet. Haiz... Murtabak yg hubby beli lak tersikit. Mane lah sangka ramai lak yg dtg. Hubby's cousin & anak2 pon ade. Malu lah saye. Apa leh buat, last minute. (excuses lagik.....)
Friday
Another car washing session. Left Aimar in Ibu's good hands. We were so worried over our cracked windscreen from last Sunday's flying pebble at KJE. Gosh! My heart cracked with it too. It was only about 10cm long when it happened. But today, we noticed the hairline grew longer. We were worried sick esp with the upcoming jalan raya on Sunday. (tak glamour sey-but our safety is more than anything else) But I was also thinking, not another $500 for this!? (when I'm already counting to our Black Stallion's 1st birthday) Anyway, the conversation goes.... from our cracked windscreen to Haidar's wedding convoy to our 1st jalan raya & whatever not.... the normal tak abis2 nak kutuk org conversation.
The moment I reached home, I made a call to our insurance company. I was trying my luck eventhough I'm pretty sure the office will be close by then. It was near midnight. I was right, the customer service department only works on weekdays till 6pm. I was thwarted on my attempt. But there was this answering machine with options on workshops listings. Well, I guess that could be the best information I can get at that hour. At least I tried to get something going. As luck would have it, my line was transferred to a normal ringing sound. I was praying. Alhamdulliah, there was a guy on the other line. Though he sounded as if he's on bed, I couldn't stop smiling & started darting him with question. I went around with the flying pebble story.
-NCB would not be affected (what the fish is NCB!!??)
-Coming premium would not be revised (that's important to note)
-My current package covered windscreen damage (so I don't have to pay any cent as the $500 excess is waived!! Alhamdulillah)
-Just go down to any Toyota workshop and have it replaced
~~Syukur Alhamdulillah~~
Thursday
JADE, the well known stuck up, insensitive & miss-I-know-it-all bitch from American Next Top Model. I hated her from the 1st episode of the reality show. Who would imagine I could bump into her at the Cityhall MRT. I was excited to see her, not for the fact that I adore her in any way, coz I never, not even a little bit. It's just for the fact that she's in my favourite show & also the idea of having a shot with an American celeb (now that's she's on tv) makes it a rare encounter.
Well, she didn't disappoint me with her attitude - she REALLY did portray her true snobbishly conceited self. I was chasing after her to take a picture. I think I only came up to her chest - that's the only excuse I could find for her to ignore me for standing in front her damn face & ignoring me for 5 secs.
Me: Hi, are you Jade?
Jade: Yes.... (after hesitating & in her whatever voice)
Me: Can I take a picture with you?
Jade: Err err sure.. (she was so reluctant & gave me that vexed attitude)
While Lin & I was preparing our camera phone, her local gay friend came along. And yes, she continued talking to him while we stood there waiting. I was thinking on the verge to leave but half of me said stay & wait for this bitch. Well, she turned before I could decide. Unfortunately, Lin took a video instead of a picture. Before I could say anything, whoosh.... there goes Jade with her friend. They literally stormed off! Tell me, isn't that RUDE!! Jade is just Jade. Her rude & true self. WHATEVER!! I just hoped she will not win....
